By
combining
Mobile Information Server
with Microsoft OutlookŪ Mobile Access, you can
bring the power of the corporate intranet to the
latest generation of mobile devices and securely
gain access to your e-mail messages, contacts,
calendars, and tasks. Mobile Information Server
also works seamlessly with mobile controls and
Web Forms. This way, you can create applications
with a single user interface (UI) that you can
view on different mobile devices in real time,
wherever you happen to be.
Features:
Mobile-Enable the Enterprise:
Mobile Gateway Functionality
Mobile Information Server functions as a gateway, enabling secure,
authenticated access to enterprise applications and data from mobile
devices.

Notifications can be securely routed from applications to mobile
devices.
High Security
Support for security protocols such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL),
IP Security Protocol (IPSec), and virtual private network (VPN)
